Inertial Sensing Bore Hole Survey Instruments

Wireless depth tracker

The WDT is a standalone wireless depth tracker with a fixture for mounting on the drill rod collar. The system is built for drillers and is robust, reliable, and simple to use.
The WDT can be operated directly from Inertial Sensing’s Surveyor software for continuous mode gyro surveys. It provides real time depth readings, stored and processed by the field computer. It can also be operated individually using a smartphone app.

  • Bluetooth communication

  • Long battery life

  • Lightweight

  • 0.1% depth accuracy

  • Up to 12 mm wireline diameter

  • 100 m/min wireline speed

Inline Centralizers

Surveying vertical and near-vertical holes, large-diameter holes and production blast holes typically requires the use of reliable centralizers to produce high-quality and dependable surveys. We have a range of standard-sized inline centralizers for all our survey tools as well as a range of disposable KwikZip centralizers for daily blast hole operations.

  • Metal Centralizers 2” - 18”

  • Kwik-Zip Centralizers 20mm - 80mm

Sighting Device

For surveying vertical holes in surface operations, an optical sight is indispensable for aligning surveys to a known reference. This unit attaches to all our gyro products and packages.

For surveying vertical holes in underground operations, a laser sight is indispensable for aligning surveys to a known reference. This unit attaches to all our gyro products and packages.

Feeder reel

For production blast holes and other short surveys where a winch is impractical, a reel of glass fiber rod is ideal for pushing a survey instrument into the hole.

Our range of Slim gyro tools can be easily and safely pushed on these rods by one person, even in up-hole surveys. The survey computer can be mounted conveniently atop the reel. Standard rod lengths of 50 and 100 meters are available.

Tripod

A lightweight tripod allows a single operator to perform a survey in vertical a borehole when the drill rig has already left.
The kit consists of:

  • Detachable pulley

  • Telescopic legs

  • Adjustable ties

  • 3 ground anchor

ADW600 Winch

The ADW600 is a compact and portable winch for borehole surveys and logging. It is designed for 600 m of 1/8"-wire. The main components are:

  • Helicoidal spindle for automatic laying of cable on the drum

  • Electronic depth encoder with display

  • Frequency-controlled asynchronous electric motor (0.75 kW)

  • Electric motor brake that keeps the wireline still at stations

  • 600 m of stainless steel wire

A version for geophysical borehole logging with 600 m of 1/8" mono-conductor wireline cable and mercury slip rings is available on request.
